Common mistakes

English uses “into” for movement, and German shows it with the accusative: in den Supermarkt. The dative would mean you are already inside.
A picture that just hangs there is a location (wo?), so an takes the dative: an der Wand.
English separates “on” and “onto”; German makes the same split with the case: putting it there (wohin?) needs the accusative den.
Stellen moves the suitcase to a new place, so neben takes the accusative here: neben den Stuhl.
Being somewhere is a location, so zwischen takes the dative for both nouns: zwischen der Bank und dem Café.
