Typische Fehler

  • ✗ This film is interestinger.✓ This film is more interesting.Lange Adjektive bilden den Komparativ mit more und nicht mit -er wie im Deutschen interessanter.
  • ✗ He is as tall like me.✓ He is as tall as me.Der Vergleich mit as … as wird mit as abgeschlossen und nicht mit like.
  • ✗ She is the more beautiful girl in the class.✓ She is the most beautiful girl in the class.Der Superlativ langer Adjektive braucht most und nicht more, auch wenn man im Deutschen die schönste sagt.
  • ✗ The more I study, more I know.✓ The more I study, the more I know.Bei je … desto steht im Englischen zweimal the, also the more I study, the more I know.
  • ✗ Today is more warm than yesterday.✓ Today is warmer than yesterday.Kurze Adjektive wie warm bilden den Komparativ mit -er und nicht mit more.
