• ✗ That are my books.✓ Those are my books.Das deutsche Das sind … entspricht im Englischen Those are …, denn that gehört nur zu einem Singular.
• ✗ Hello, this is Anna. Is this Tom?✓ Hello, this is Anna. Is that Tom?Am Telefon stellt man sich mit this vor, fragt den anderen aber mit that, also Is that Tom?
• ✗ This days I work a lot.✓ These days I work a lot.Das Wort days steht im Plural, deshalb braucht es these und nicht this: These days.
• ✗ These is my bag.✓ This is my bag.Zu einem Singular gehört this, deshalb passen these und is nicht zusammen.
