both, either, neither
Bu kelimeler iki kişi ya da şeyden söz eder. both = ikisi de; either = biri ya da diğeri; neither = hiçbiri (ikisinden).

Sık yapılan hatalar
- ✗ Both my sisters is nurses.✓ Both my sisters are nurses.Both iki kişiyi anlatır ve çoğul fiil alır: both my sisters are. Türkçedeki “iki kız kardeşim de hemşire” fiil göstermez.
- ✗ Neither colours look good.✓ Neither colour looks good.Neither’dan sonra isim tekil olur ve tekil fiil alır: neither colour looks. Türkçedeki “ikisi de güzel durmuyor” çoğul gibi düşünmeye iter.
- ✗ Neither of them didn’t come.✓ Neither of them came.Neither zaten olumsuzdur; ikinci bir olumsuzluk eklenmez. Türkçedeki “ikisi de gelmedi” iki olumsuz kullanır.
- ✗ Do you want tea or coffee? — Both is fine.✓ Do you want tea or coffee? — Either is fine.İkisinden biri yeterliyse either kullanılır: either is fine. Both, ikisini birden istediğinizi söyler.
