Errores comunes

  • ✗ I don’t like neither of them.✓ I don’t like either of them.En una negación se usa either, porque la negación ya está en don’t, y el español sí admite doble negación.
  • ✗ Neither of us didn’t know.✓ Neither of us knew.Neither ya es negativo, así que el verbo va en afirmativo.
  • ✗ I don’t like it. — Neither I.✓ I don’t like it. — Neither do I.La respuesta yo tampoco lleva el auxiliar do antes del sujeto: Neither do I.
  • ✗ I like both tea or coffee.✓ I like both tea and coffee. Both siempre va con and y no con or, como en español tanto té como café.
  • ✗ Both answers is correct.✓ Both answers are correct. Both se refiere a dos cosas, así que el verbo va en plural.
